Illustrated map design in South Lake Tahoe

Maps drawn to be understood at a glance. Trail maps that fold into a pocket, resort maps for apps and kiosks, marina slips, restaurant floor plans, and a travel map for one family’s week in New York. Designed in South Lake Tahoe for print and screen.

Services offered

  • Trail and resort maps

Multifold printed trail maps, base area maps and resort overviews, simplified so guests find the lift, the lodge and the run they’re after.

  • Maps for apps and kiosks

Simplified line-art maps that stay legible on a phone, and large maps for digital kiosks and printed displays.

  • Marina maps

Buoy fields, docks and slips, laid out so boaters find their spot.

  • Venue, event and restaurant maps

Event and venue maps, restaurant floor plans and table maps.

  • Custom travel maps

A personal map of a trip: what’s worth seeing, where to eat, and how to get between them by bus, train, cab or on foot.

  • Updates

Maps set up so a new lift, a moved trail or a renumbered slip is a quick change.

How it works

  1. Send what you have

Existing maps, site plans, photos, and a list of what has to be on it. Around Tahoe, I can walk the site.

  2. Sketch and proofs

A layout sketch first, then the finished map, shared as proofs in your client portal.

  3. Printed or delivered as files

I handle printing for brochures, signs and displays, or deliver print-ready files plus versions sized for screens, apps and kiosks.

Questions

Is an illustrated map to scale?

No. It’s drawn for clarity: distances and shapes are simplified so the important things stand out. It’s a guide, not a survey.

What do you need from me?

Existing maps, site plans, photos, and a list of what has to be on it.

Do you need to visit the site?

Not always. Around Tahoe I can, and it helps.

What files do I get, and can it go on a big sign or a kiosk?

Vector artwork that scales from a pocket map to a large sign, plus versions sized for screens and apps.

Can the map be updated when things change?

Yes. Maps are built in layers, so a new trail, lift or slip is a quick edit.

Who owns the map?

You do, once it’s paid for.

Can you work from our existing map or site plan?

Yes. Existing maps, site plans and photos are the usual starting point.

How much does a custom map cost?

It depends on the size of the area, the level of detail and where it’ll be used. Send what you have and you’ll get a clear answer before work starts.

Need people to find their way around?

Send what you have: an old map, a site plan, or a list of what matters.
